THINKING DAY CELEBRATIONS - 2014
The
Thinking day was celebrated in our vidyalaya on 22nd February in a befitting way, as per the instructions
of KVS and BS&G.
The
celebration was started with a
special Morning Assembly programme by the department of Scouts & Guides. The thought for the day,
new word, special programme etc were related with the Movement. A special talk
was made by Kumari. Nimisha S Pradeep (class- X) in the assembly.
This
was followed by an All Faith Prayer
in the multi-purpose hall at 8.45 AM in which all the Scouts and Guides up to
class XI participated. Principal and District Commissioner (G): Dr. Smt. S.Nalayini gave the thinking day message. The prayer was
led by Mr. Narayanan, the music teacher.
A Quiz on Lord Baden Powel and the
movement was conducted by Mr. Biju PV
and Mr. Arun Prasanth, Scout Masters in the computer room, in which 16
selected volunteers represented various classes. There were four rounds of
quizzing.
Display of
gadgets prepared by the scouts was the next event in the agenda.
After that the KIM Games was conducted with slots for
touching, smelling and tasting objects followed by a memory
test in two groups with more than 24 different items were kept in
boxes.
It
was followed by a Poster designing
competition in the multi-purpose hall in which more than 100 posters
were prepared by scouts and guides by
selecting various topics related with the movement. All the posters were
exhibited properly.
A
total number of 130 members (55 Scouts and 75 Guides) participated along with all
Scout Masters and Guide Captains in the thinking day celebrations.

An Adventure trekking was conducted to VEEZHUMALA
RESERVE FOREST AREA, (Alathur Forest
Range) with prior permission from the department. A team of 50 scouts
and guides were taken in a bus to Alathur , 37 KMs away from school for the
trekking.
The Cubs
and Bulbuls conducted Utsav as part of the celebrations at Malampuzha
gardens.
